In this class you will lie, kneel sit and stand to create a balanced body and strong core.
The resistance of the pulley and spring system of our state of the art STOTT Pilates machines will give you an an all over body workout.
Mat Pilates uses your own body weight as resistance.
Small props like hand weights, stability balls, bands and the foam roller are often added for variety and challenge.
This class focuses on core muscles, as well as toning the legs, butt and arms increasing spinal mobility and flexibility.
Our instructors are highly experienced in working with the female body during and after birth.
Strength, pelvic floor, balance and mobility prescription will be a primary focus during each session in order to achieve the highest level of health Pre and Post baby.
Women who train before, during and after their pregnancy will have less complications, and an easier recovery after child birth.
Pregnancy & Pre-natal
In 2020 Bec opened Pilates Utopia Perth with a goal “to educate and inspire the local community, to live happier, healthier lifestyles, through classes and education”.
She has a comprehensive background in dance, so for her, movement has always made sense. So when she found Pilates it was a transition that seemed simply natural.
After completing a Full diploma in STOTT Pilates, she continued her education further with Anatomy Trains. It was here she delved into all things “fascia”.
Taking on this knowledge, she then married these two modalities together and began witnessing amazing results.
Bec is a highly qualified STOTT Pilates instructor, specialising in rehabilitation, Pre-post natal, injury prevention and management.
She is also an Instructor Trainer for the prestigious STOTT Pilates method for Matwork, Reformer, Chairs, Cadillacs and Barrels and Total Barre. Pilates Utopia Perth is a host site for STOTT Pilates courses. From Her facility in Ballajura she runs the these courses, educating new and upcoming Pilates instructors.

Jai is owner and trainer at Pilates Utopia Perth. His wife, Bec, is the driving force behind their studio, and together they aim to “educate, empower and challenge their clients to become the best versions of themselves”.
Having a background in Sports Science and exercise rehabilitation, Jai has 20 plus years of experience in the health and fitness industry.
Jai’s training philosophy is “movement with purpose”, which guides his approach to how he designs sessions, instructs training, and educates clients.
On first encounter, his oftentimes “unique” take on training/movement may seem unorthodox, but given half a chance you’ll learn to embrace the challenge and love the outcome.
